Ms. Lauren

Ms. Lauren specializes in Classical violin & also teach Irish/Celtic & Country Western Fiddle.
She has published a beginner violin book ideal for students age 5 & up or adults with no prior musical experience. She teaches musicians how to read music (theory) with a variety of activities. My M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction & B.A.E. in Elementary Education help me tailor lessons according to each student’s skill levels with growth every week.
Ms. Lauren prepares students for solo, ensemble, & orchestra with group classes, summer camps, & partnerships with Sinfonia Youth Orchestra. She draws upon her experience as Concert Master of Montgomery Youth Orchestra & as a first violinist in Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, both during high school.
As part of her service to students, she records herself playing each song or selection after every lesson, & then students listen & record themselves at home with the app and gives positive encouragement so they want to practice diligently. Improvement points are discussed & practiced during lessons.
Students learn their favorite songs like pop, from movies, sacred/hymns, which keeps learning engaging in addition to a core skill book for technique & shifting positions. Her students find success & love to perform for family and peers! She teaches at our main campus in Fort Walton Beach and at our satellite campus in Navarre.
