Ms. Amy

Amy Rohrer joins our staff as an instructor of voice and piano. She graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in vocal music performance. While at JSU, she performed with their choirs serving as section leader during the last 2 years. She also performed piano for the jazz band while there as well as marched saxophone in the Marching Southerners marching band for 3 years. One of Amy’s strengths is her ability to sight-read. Having started playing piano at age 6, she learned to not only read words, but also music at the same time. This gave her the ability to help other students during her time in college. She accompanied several students for their music lessons. This included voice and various instruments. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, friends, and family. Amy is excited to get back into her gift, and to share her love of music with her students and the community.
