Mr. Darrin – French Horn & Middle School Band Instruments

Mr. Darrin is a native of Okaloosa County, and attended Rocky Bayou Christian School in Niceville. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Troy University and performed throughout the US and Canada with the Troy University Symphony Band. Mr. Darrin also studied abroad with the Troy University School of Music in Germany, where he attended masterclasses in Dresden. Though Mr. Darrin’s primary instrument is French Horn, he has had experience performing on trombone in jazz band and sousaphone in marching band throughout high school and college. Mr. Darrin also teaches every instrument in the middle school band room!
In 2015, he began teaching private lessons in addition to working as a Band Assistant at Davidson Middle School in Crestview. He became the Band Director at Emerald Coast Middle School in Santa Rosa Beach in 2016 and has been working there ever since. He currently lives in Ft. Walton Beach with his wife and four sons.
